The theater performance is an adaptation of the book The Discomfort of Evening by Marieke Lucas Rijneveld. It centers around the theme of loss and follows the story of Jas, a 10-year-old girl who is imprisoned in a world of mourning after a tragedy. 

The world portrayed in the performance is one of eternal winter, filled with magical thinking, spells, and prayers. It is presented through the eyes of a young girl and her siblings who enter adolescence, observing and narrating the events while creating their own fantasies. The performance captures her struggle with emptiness, guilt, and responsibility for her parents. 

The performance builds its visuality from the unsettling everyday life and the bonds between humans and animals, portraying them from a child's perspective and childlike imagination. 

Additionally, the show features four sculptures created in 2019 by Jan Baszak -  Rat, Rabbit, Dog and Horse, along with two new pieces: Rabbit mask and God's Finger, specifically created for this performance. All sculptures are made out of black socks.
